An active teacher and freelance performer in the Orange County area, Emily received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of North Texas where she studied Flute Performance with Mary Karen Clardy. She continued her studies at Brigham Young University, where she received a Master's Degree. In addition to performing solo with the University's Symphony Orchestra, she also toured Europe with the BYU Chamber Orchestra, performing on both flute and piccolo. She has played with Las Colinas Symphony, Pacific Chorale, Corona Symphony, and the Southern California Korean Philharmonic. An energetic teacher, her students place consistently in SCSBOA and CBDA honor groups, local honor bands, and win positions in Southern California's major youth orchestra organizations. Emily has served as an adjunct faculty member at Cypress College, and currently works as the Flute Choir Director with the Southern California Youth Philharmonic organization.
